PropTech deployment and implementation
Inspired by a lack of operational data on PropTech, the Pi Labs research team compiled four case studies on deploying Plentific, Adeptmind, OfficeRnD and LandTech. These case studies offer context on the need for each innovation, the founding story, examples of how their technology has been deployed by real estate firms, as well as the challenges faced and benefits delivered.
In completing this White Paper, dozens of stakeholders were interviewed and tens of thousands of interview notes were compiled. This enabled us to offer insights on how real estate firms are enabling themselves to more successfully deploy PropTech—the key barriers in their way, and how to overcome them. The real estate industry still perceives a lack of return of investment as a key barrier to deploying PropTech—a sentiment we have challenged in this research.
Aside from tangible financial benefits, real estate groups are also achieving operational, reputational and risk management outcomes. The deployment process also enables knowledge development within real estate firms, which uncovers previously-overlooked needs of the firm.
